My Skills
Software:
-
Adobe Photoshop - During university, I picked up Photoshop as it is the current industry standard digital painting software. I have used it in many projects for ideation and concept art purposes, creating quality digital art for characters, assets and environments.
-
Adobe Substance 3D Painter - In university, I gained knowledge and understanding of the process of importing UV mapped 3D meshes from Maya into Substance 3D Painter and appling realistic or stylised textures to them for exporting and use in other programs such as Unreal Engine 5.
-
Autodesk Flow Design - As seen in the F1 in Schools project, I can accurately use Flow Design to simulate and review the aerodynamic properties of a 3D model.
-
Autodesk Fusion 360 - I have a great understanding of how to use Fusion 360's 'Design', 'Render' and 'Drawing' workspaces to create accurate 3D models to design specifications that are suitable for Computer Aided Manufacture processes as well as detailed renders and engineering drawings of a 3D model.
-
Autodesk Maya - Over my time at Access Creative College, I have gained proficiency in 3D modelling and UV mapping using Maya as well as creating high quality finished renders.
-
Blender - For personal projects, I started using Blender due to it's fast and efficient rendering capabilites. I can make full use of 'Edit Mode' to quickly create high quality 3D models and modify them efficiently using modifiers. I can then render and composite the results to make professional 3D scenes.
-
Cura - Owing to my hobby of 3D printing, I am proficient with Cura as I use it to convert the .stl files generated by Fusion 360 into .gcode files to be 3D printed.
-
Gravity Sketch VR - While exploring different workflows for the creation of 3D models and scenes, I gained skills in Gravity Sketch VR and can quickly create detailed models in a virtual space which can be exported and used in Maya or Blender.
-
Krita - Over recent years I have been developing my digital art skills in Krita and now I can create high quality digital art from home with a digital tablet, examples of this on my portfolio are the character designs, gamejam art and pixel art.
-
MagicaVoxel - Using the voxel based creation tools in MagicaVoxel, I can quickly create models for use either in the program's inbuilt renderer or for export into other programs such as Unreal Engine 4.
-
Sony Vegas Pro 14 - I have an intermediate level of knowledge and experience with video creation and editing in Sony Vegas, I have created small youtube videos as well as 20 minute long mini-movies as part of a high school project.
-
Unreal Engine 5 - While at Access Creative College, I have gained basic knowledge of both world building and the blueprint-based coding system available in Unreal Engine 5. Throughout university, I gained further expertise in the program, specialising in the creation of Niagara particle systems for VFX.
-
Zbrush - During university, I have gained knowledge and understanding of sculpting using the tools and features in Zbrush, I can create detailed and usable 3D meshes for texturing and exporting into other programs such as Unreal Engine 4.
